The Fox and the Hare

Explanation:  This beautiful and shy canid is a South American gray fox, a relatively common inhabitant of central and southern Patagonia in southern South America.  

In this video (which is silent at the start), it is consuming a European hare (Lepus europaeus) which is a non-native species in this region. 

I photographed and videoed these sequences in the shrublands of southern Chile.
