Hood in the Shadows

Explanation: Dusk, and below, the evening creatures begin to stir on this Halloween night. From above, the landscape becomes muted with evening mist, and shadows gather around the shoulders of this sleeping volcano: Mount Hood, of the Cascade Mountain Range, here in northern Oregon, USA.

We are looking southwest, as we head north, viewing the eastern flanks of Hood in the Shadows.

And that is Mount Jefferson out in the dim distance.
