Jellyfish Lens

Unidentified Jellyfish

Explanation:  Sometimes nature surprises us in unusual ways.

I encountered this fragment of an unidentified jellyfish while I was exploring a beach at the central coast of Oregon.  Suddenly the clouds parted and the sun broke through ... and the rays of the sun cast both a shadow and a brilliant spot of light focused through this living lens.

It is summertime in the Northern Hemisphere, so let this be a small celebration of sun and life, and of the unexpected to be found if we just walk slowly and look closely...
